MAKE A PLEDGE TO SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD

MAKE A PLEDGE TO SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD

A small change can make a big difference.

For the last 3 years, PineMelon has strived to offer the quality, flavor, and nutritiousness of local food to our Denver community. We have done this without requiring a subscription, something which is very rare for independent delivery services these days.

Almost 30,000 people have tried out PineMelon since we first opened our doors, but over 90% do not continue to shop with us regularly. This unfortunately is not sustainable for us. We understand a lot of this may be due to our inability to offer the convenience of other delivery services, or the exact product customers want on any given day of the week. We also understand that ours is a premium service, and that not everyone can prioritize what we offer in their monthly budget.

What we want to know before we head into another busy spring & summer season is this: Does the Denver community need or at least want what we're offering?

What we're offering

1) Farmers market quality items that you will not find at big chain grocery stores (including produce harvested within 50 miles from your door within the last 24 hours)

2) Customer service from real humans who live in our community and know and care about every piece of food we deliver

3) Supporting local Makers by giving them a bigger share of your grocery dollar

4) Environmental sustainability with our new delivery system (each of our vans keeps 50 cars off the road, and each week our reusable boxes save 5,000 bags)

5) A locally-owned small business that has a stake in our community

MelonClub members and PineMelon team mates gather in Denver to celebrate local food.

What we're asking

We need 7,000 people in our community to make a pledge to support local food once a month. Even if you don't use PineMelon to keep your pledge every month and instead choose to support local food in another way, this will tell us that enough people are willing to support our vision to keep us in business. If we cannot get 7,000 people to make this commitment, then we will know that we are not right for the community at this time.

You don't need to order all of your food from PineMelon to keep your pledge. We don't care if you purchase one item a month or a 100 items a month, we just want to know if you're willing to pitch in and be a part of our movement.
